International Geocaching Day & Duck, Duck Goose

31-Days-Calendar-Image
Happy day 17 aka:International Geocaching Day! We wished we could have joined the block party in Seattle, maybe next year. We did travel but not as far, we just went to Idaho to float the Onieda Narrows. It was a beautiful float and day. While we were there we checked on our cache Oh "Chute" the Rebels were floating again! It was in great shape and had great SWAG in it.

Our hide today was one of our favorites to date. We have been waiting to place this cache and knew today was the day! It is called Day 17 Duck Duck Goose. It is a Large size cache and has some amazing camouflage, a huge 3.5 x 3.5 foot goose. Under the cover is a 3 gallon bucket with a duck decoy attached to the top. This one was jammed packed with great SWAG.

It appears there were some cachers waiting for this one to hatch as well. The FTF race was won by gotwings & WindBeneath. Congrats . The best part of this cache today was the meeting of the cachers on the trail. Almost every one of the 15 finders today ran into each other and discussed it in their logs. We love bringing cachers together.
For my cache of the day I logged an Earth Cache. Old Delta Sediments by ned. It was a great find for this special day.

Balkamper13 already did this one so we stopped at 10 Years! Cache Valley Caching by dfly57. We thought Cache Valley was a great place to score a smiley on ICD. Thank you ned & dfly57 for helping us keep our streaking going!
We hope you found your cache for this special day and your streak is alive. We had a few more join the race for the STREAKER AWARD. Looks like the STREAKERS BALL on Sept 1st 2013 @ 11:30AM will be a huge success!
Thanks for reading and keep on streaking!
