I Suck at Geocaching (ISAG)

     Our official membership cards arrived. Balkamper13 and I found a wonderful surprise in our stack of mail…our membership cards to ISAG! Thank you so much to Gummybayer!

     For those of you not familiar with ISAG, it is a group of 309 cachers that share their DNF experiences with other I Suck At Geocaching members on Facebook. We received and invite from Railroader921 and we are glad we did. We had a blast reading about other cachers and their DNF tales. We were sold on a group that admits caching defeats. Too often people won’t log a DNF. This group not only encourages it, they celebrate your DNF count. They even share a link to help you find your DNF ratio http://www.geocaching.com/my/logs.aspx?s=1&lt=3

We are sorry we have been sucking at posting, we have so much to catch you up on….we have a list of posts we need to get to and I am working on some now. Everything from our acceptance into the Dirtbag Geocaching Society, caching trip to the GPS Adventure Maze Exhibit, upcoming event GEOCACHING POKER RUN AND WHITE ELEPHANT PARTY and 101 Devil Caches Book review and giveaway! Keep following us and we will try to not suck as bad with our posts, we spent more time caching and doing caching things than posting, now we will be playing catch up, it is worth it because of your great comments and following!

OUR ENTRYS TO THE THE GREAT WELL DWELLERS TB RACE

    Our entry's for the WELL DWELLERS TB RACE are finally complete. I took a few more of my lost tracking numbers and made up some tags to get them going again. I also made up a little racing tag to tell the goals of the killer little ducks. In all we are entering 10 trackables into this race. In the past we have had some great success with our duck replacement TB’s so we are giving them a try in the race. We hope that these little guys will have awesome adventures and travel well.

    For those of you who have not heard about this great race there is still a chance to enter if you hurry. the race is from the WELL DWELLERS (TB REST HOME) GC2T11J to GROUNDSPEAK HEADQUARTERS GCK25B

Great birthday gift from my brother.

On Saturday April 13th I celebrated my birthday with my sweetheart and our boys. We took a trip to Denver,CO (this story will come in a later post). On our way home we stopped in Green River, WY to say hello to my big brother Paul aka ISME1922. He is the guy in who writes the awesome blog www.igogeocaching.com. I must say he surprised me with one hell of a birthday gift. A nice hollowed out log geocache.

This cache is freaking awesome. I can tell it took him hours of hard work to put this HOLY SWEET CACHE together. Inside the log was two sets of AA batteries (for the gps) and some Clorox handy wipes. What a great gift from a killer brother. I am a little scared to hide this bad boy because its so cool. He has also taken the time to put strong magnets on the lid part of log to hold it all together.  I think we will be waiting until we move to hide this one in hopes it will e our new front yard cache. I want to send a big thanks out to everyone for the great great birthday wishes.

Sorry about the lapse between posts with all the fun stuff we have been doing this month we have not had much time to get it posted. We will be getting some more stories up soon.

OUR NEW T.I.N.Y CACHE….

YES IT IS TRUE…Groundspeak has introduced a new cache type called a T.I.N.Y

“Just when I think Groundspeak can’t get any stupider, they go and REDEEM themselves with a wonderful new cache type, T.I.N.Y..” (Quote adapted from Dumb and Dumber)
If you missed the video of the new cache type I will include it at the end of my post. I am too excited to share our first few T.I.N.Y. caches with you. I have been working all morning!
I have enlarged the photos so you don’t have to use a magnifying glass to see. Normally T.I.N.Y. caches take special eyesight enhancing equipment!

First cache is called “The DIRTy Truth”–Hint: Mike Rowe would call this a DIRTy find!
Second Cache is called “Don’t Break your Mammas’ Back”- Hint:Where the sidewalk CRACKS

I HOPE These get published today! Can’t wait to read the logs! I also hope this has encouraged you all to hide your own T.I.N.Y caches. This new category makes a Mr. Magnito look like a 5 gallon bucket! I am happy Groundspeak finally listened to us and promoted a cache size that we will like way better than a dumb ammo can size hide! Thanks Groundspeak!
